About The Journey Programme
The Journey helps young people find skills and build self-confidence to make a lasting change to their lives. Each stage builds on the skills of the last and immerses young people in a exciting and supportive outdoor environment where they can safely challenge themselves and learn. If you would like to start your journey with Venture Scotland or would like to recommend the journey to someone else you can get in touch with us or use the links below for more information. We run a rolling recruitment programme throughout the year and would love to hear from you.
In the month of May some things that the young people enjoyed were;
• “tipping the boat”
• “swimming in the river”
• “the scenery at night”
In the month of April some things that young people learned where;
• “how to shoot reeds”
• “how to speak in a group of people”
• “Get on with it - resilience”
In the month of April things that the young people would do differently are;
• “more tolerance for people even when they are rude”
• “get even more involved”
• “try to go to sleep earlier at night”
• “try and not tip the canoe so soon”
• “enjoy it”
