WHAT OUR YOUNG PEOPLE SAY

I feel like the whole experience is going to change my life. I've been through so much sh*t recently - it's made me feel like it's worth being alive. I wanted to die two months ago.
Venture Scotland made me want my future again, made me want to look after myself more, and gave me the skills to do that.
Venture Scotland provided me with a safe space that was invaluable, a place devoid of judgement. I felt free to be myself unapologetically and let my guard down. VS has been a source of unwavering support and stability and I can’t begin to express what a massive difference this has made to my life.
The Glen Etive bothy, where we went for three-day and five-day trips, was a place of refuge for me. I can call on the memory of it to soothe myself in difficult times.
Venture Scotland changed my outlook on life. I’m a very different person now. I can look ahead and see a future for myself. I don’t see it from the dark side anymore. I always try to find a positive.
I have learned what it feels like to be on the other side of an interview panel and gained insight into the skills it takes to make an interview success. It has made me realise how far I've come in terms of social anxiety.
