Explore Structure
WEEKS 1 – 5
We will meet 2 days a week.
DAY 1 – JOHN MUIR DAY
A half day where we will explore our local communities taking part in treasure hunts and mapping out opportunities to find support on our doorsteps. We complete a John Muir Discover Award along the way.
DAY 2 – ACTIVITY DAY
A full activity day where we will explore our local communities to hunt out green spaces and opportunities. We’ll do some volunteering which might include cleaning up a natural space, planting trees or working in a local community garden.
WEEK 6
Our programme concludes with a chance to return to our stunning bothy in Glen Etive, where we’ll focus on problem-solving and leaving a legacy for others. As always, our trip will end with pizza night, cooking in our own clay oven surrounded by beautiful scenery.
Following the bothy trip, we’ll arrange to get back together to look at the photos and chat through our experience and you’ll get a chance to have a 1-2-1 with the programme leader.
