Chris McGeown

OUTDOOR PROGRAMME LEADER

Chris returned to Venture Scotland in 2017 as an Outdoor Youth Worker having previously worked with us from 2013–2016. In-between he worked for the environmental charity, The John Muir Trust, but he missed working with young people and working outside in the great Scottish weather. Chris’s latest passion is road cycling. He can be spotted very early on a Sunday morning with friends cycling the hills surrounding Glasgow, wondering why he is not in bed like most normal folk.

Andy Briggs

OUTDOOR PROGRAMME LEADER

Andy has recently joined the team in January 2021. He is passionate about using adventure to help make meaningful changes in people’s lives and help them realise their potential.

He has always loved mucking about in the outdoors and has tried a variety of pursuits from climbing, gorge walking and mountain biking to ski touring, sea kayaking and sailing.

If he had to choose one, it would be strapping some bags to his bike and heading off into the hills for an overnight adventure.
