Our Board of Trustees

Venture Scotland is governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees who meet as a whole a minimum of four times a year, as well as contributing to various sub groups and committees to support the overall governance of the charity.

Evelyn Simpson

Evelyn Simpson is an experienced NXD, executive coach and mentor who became a Venture Scotland Trustee in 2016. She works with business leaders on strategy and leadership, chairs Neatebox, and is a board member of Investing Women Angels.

A former investment banker, Evelyn has lived and worked around the world in banking, as an entrepreneur and in voluntary organisations. Evelyn has a BA in Economics and Law from Edinburgh University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Andy Wadsworth

Andy has been volunteering with Venture Scotland for over 20 years and blames the organisation for transitioning him from being a bloke behind a desk who could only communicate with computers into an expedition leader who could relate to real people, a quality recognised by some large financial companies around Edinburgh who engaged him to assess risks on their systems as a test manager. He has worked with groups in many mountainous areas of the world, including Szechuan, Borneo, Chile and the Himalayas. His own adventures have taken him up mountains on foot, using ropes and sometimes on skis in Europe, the Canadian Rockies and Arctic Scandinavia. He still pogos to punk rock, and follows local bands.
