In line with Government and NHS advice, Venture Scotland has decided to close both their Edinburgh and Glasgow offices and all staff are now working from home. If you need to contact us, please call 07495 836 248 or email us on admin@venturescotland.org.
We have also met with all our young people and have suspended face-to-face group work and 1-2-1s.
At this difficult time, our main concern is for the young people we work with and how we can help them to maintain their physical, emotional and mental health.
If you are a current participant on one of our courses, your course leader will be your main point of contact (but you can contact any of us). You should have their mobile number (if you don’t, please contact the number above), their email address (also available on our website) and their Facebook contact. They will contact you each week directly, to give you an update on whether your course can run in the week ahead. While it may not be possible to offer you outdoor group activities and residentials, we hope, over the coming weeks, to be able to offer you some innovative ways to stay in touch, take part in virtual group sessions and perhaps even get outdoors!
Most importantly, if you want someone to talk to about anything, by phone, email, Skype, text or Facebook, we are here to listen. Please get in touch.
We would also like to extend the offer of help to past participants of Venture Scotland. No matter how long ago we worked with you, if you need someone to talk to, we will try to be there for you. Get in touch by phone, email, Skype, text or Facebook.
Finally, to our volunteers, thank you for all the amazing time and effort you give willingly to Venture Scotland. At this time, you’ll appreciate that groups can’t run, however there may still be opportunities to volunteer, once things have settled down. Look out for future emails / comms. If you have any questions, ideas or need someone to talk to, please get in touch using the details above, through Facebook or through Daniel.
At this time, the most important thing is for everyone to stay safe. Look after yourselves, follow the guidance being put out there and help others, if you can.
