Pay It Forward

Step out of your context

We know the photos look great…but the benefits to your team are even greater!

Our value comes from bringing your team together through shared experiences that strengthen communication, build trust, encourage reflection, and create lasting positive change for individuals, teams, and organisations. With expert facilitation before, during, and after every experience, the learning goes far beyond the day itself. And as a bonus, you get some amazing activities and incredible photos too.

Whether you opt for a half-day team-building, a full-day gorge walking or a wilderness retreat, your team will come away with stronger bonds, a deeper sense of belonging and an elevated shared purpose.

With over 38 years of experience, we can adapt to meet the needs of your team and work with you to create a bespoke experience through a blend of time, trusted relationships and shared experiences that will bring you together.

In a world where AI is automating tasks and hybrid and remote working can leave people feeling disconnected, the ability to build genuine human connections has never been more valuable.

The teams that thrive are those that communicate openly, trust one another, understand different perspectives, and feel connected to a shared purpose.

Creating space for people to step away from screens, work alongside each other in new ways, and engage in meaningful conversations helps strengthen the relationships that drive collaboration, creativity and wellbeing.

Fantastic, fun-filled day that catered for the whole staff team.
Very engaging, challenging and packed with a variety of activities that we could all be part of.

We all felt invigorated, and the team definitely felt more together, we had recently amalgamated two separate locations into one. This teambuilding helped to develop a much greater esprit de corps. I would recommend it to any organisation looking to bond and develop greater communication skills.

Why Venture Scotland?

My name is Brian, and Venture Scotland greatly impacted my life.

School had a bad impact on my mental health, and eventually I dropped out at 16. I found interacting with people debilitating and felt so much less than my peers.

Leaving school with zero qualifications when I had been threatened that if I didn’t stick in at school, I’d end up a nobody on the streets meant that I stopped trying.

I isolated myself in my bedroom and couldn’t fathom why anyone would want anything to do with me. I flirted with the idea of suicide, seeing myself as a waste of time, resources and space.

Having spent months getting up at 5PM, playing my Xbox all night, and going to bed at 8AM – it was so quiet all of the time, and I found myself incredibly lonely.

I didn’t even see daylight. It was a depressive cycle of avoidance.

Then I came to Venture Scotland’s door.

It felt like I was brought into this big family. The staff were so wonderful and supportive; I felt empowered to always make my own decisions and was challenged to push myself – building my resilience once more. I found that the outdoors brought out the best in me.

After feeling like I didn’t belong anywhere for so long,

I felt like I belonged with Venture Scotland.

Initially, I felt I didn’t have time to take the day away from my desk, but I’m really happy I attended and now feel that doing more days like this would be worthwhile!
