Venture Scotland offers a long-term, outdoor-based personal development programme which empowers young people aged 16-30, who face complex and difficult challenges in their lives, to create and sustain change.
We focus on the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of our Young People, working with them both in group settings and 1-2-1, to make lasting changes in their lives and help them play a positive role in their communities.
We are seeking a Team Leader, who identify with our values of Trust, Respect, Diversity, Inclusion, Environment and Personal Development, to help deliver programmes, along with managing the Glasgow delivery team and resources. This includes delivering outdoor activities and residentials and providing in-depth social and emotional learning opportunities for individuals and groups. Minimum Qualifications: Summer Mountain Leader – Assessed; Rock Climbing Instructor – Assessed or Trained*; Canoe Coach (Sheltered Water) or Paddlesport Leader – Assessed or Trained*; 16 hour first aid qualification; Full driving licence with D1
*must have min 2 NGB assessed including SML
Salary – SJC Scale 28-32 (£28,475 – £32,342) + 5% Employer Pension & 5% Employee Contribution Pro Rata.
This role is considered ‘regulated work’ as it involves activities with both children and protected adults. Under our safeguarding policy, this role will require a PVG.
