Venture Scotland offers an outdoor-based personal development programme which empowers young people aged 16-30, who face complex and difficult challenges in their lives, to create and sustain change.
We focus on the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of our Young People, working with them to make lasting changes in their lives and helping them play a positive role in their communities.
We are seeking a Stores Technician who identifies with our values of Trust, Respect, Diversity, Inclusion, Environment and Personal Development, to assist the Edinburgh and Glasgow Delivery Teams to deliver our outdoors based, long term Journey programme. There will be opportunities to go on Outdoor activities with our Outdoor Programme Leaders and attend activity training for your own personal development. You will also assist the Delivery teams in day to day administration tasks, such as keeping the drying room clean and tidy, cleaning, storing, maintaining and repairing activity equipment. The job will also involve ordering food, updating notice boards. You will be based in Edinburgh but this role will include assisting the Glasgow Delivery team, too (your travel to Glasgow will be reimbursed).
Do you want to work in a supportive team of people, who really care about the young people we are helping? Do you want to work in an organisation who listens, values everyone’s views and cares about the health and wellbeing of their staff? Do you understand the transformative effect of the outdoors? Are you passionate about #ChangingYoungLives Outdoors?
