Fundraise
Your Fundraising Will:
Change and often save the lives of people on our programmes
“I had plans to not see my 30’s. The Venture Scotland programme isn’t just a course I did, it’s the thing that turned my life around. I learned that there’s hope and that things can get better. That I can get better. That’s what Venture Scotland has given me – my life back.“
Enable us to do the cool and totally photogenic stuff like climbing hills, gorge walking or canoeing
See below, it really is very cool and photogenic.
Help participants to feel heard and seen in a way that they haven’t before
“Venture Scotland could see the person that I could be, even when I was very hard on myself and didn’t like who I was. I didn’t feel like I deserved it, but through the support, I learned how to be present, forgive myself and worry less about things that have passed. I am no longer just surviving, I am living. Without Venture Scotland, I wouldn’t be here today.”
Enable us to do the very necessary but not very photogenic tasks like paying electricity bills and making sure all of our kit is compliant with safety regulations
Empower participants to see their self-worth, create together a hope for the future
“I was always threatened from a young age that if I didn’t stick in at school, I’d end up a nobody on the streets and that I’d never amount to anything significant. I took what I was told to heart and stopped trying. I thought there wasn’t a point in delaying what I viewed as inevitable…Venture Scotland made me feel like I could achieve something greater for myself.”
How can I fundraise?
The best answer to that is really – however you like! – Katie and Tricia in the fundraising team are here to support you in whatever you’d like to achieve whilst fundraising to support Venture Scotland.
If you fancy taking on an organised event like a run, kiltwalk or even some outdoor swimming events – take a look at this year’s events to spark some inspiration!
But if you’d rather do your own thing, we’d be delighted to hear what you’re planning! We’ve had incredible people pedalling from Glasgow to Australia, committing to 10,000 steps every day, and running the Edinburgh Marathon.
Whether you want to ask people for donations instead of birthday gifts, you’d like to bring people together for a dance or a BBQ, or you want to get creative and make something to sell – it’s up to you! And if you’re not sure what to do, you can always contact the team on fundraising@venturescotland.org.uk and we’d be delighted to chat through your ideas and offer support!
You can also have a read of some of our blogs from wonderful people who have done incredible things to support us in the past – News – Venture Scotland
Once You Have Decided
You can set up your own JustGiving page by clicking start fundraising (we also wrote this helpful blog, which gives lots of hints and tips to make the most of your page!) which can then be shared with friends, family and all across social media – if you tag us, Venture Scotland could share it, too!
If you would rather use a sponsorship form, please get in touch with us at fundraising@venturescotland.org.uk and we’ll get it sent out to you!
Thank you for choosing to support Venture Scotland through your fundraising. Your support makes what we do, possible.
“Your fundraising matters, because it allows Venture Scotland to provide more young people with the undeniable, everlasting impact.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting Venture Scotland.”
