During September we put out a call for new trustees and we are now delighted to introduce two new Trustees to our Board.
Andrea Powell
Andrea has been a volunteer with Venture Scotland for several years and during this time completed a 4-week educational placement with Venture Scotland as part of a MSc in Outdoor Education at the University of Edinburgh.
She works as an Occupational Therapist within a local authority social work dept. She is a strong advocate for the positive and therapeutic benefits that the outdoors has on health and wellbeing. Outside of work Andrea can be found walking, learning to running (slowly plodding), camping and exploring the wonders of Scotland of which there are many!
Ailsa Falconer
Ailsa is a long-term supporter and previous volunteer with Venture Scotland. She’s experienced in project management, branding & communications and stakeholder management, having held a variety of positions in the private and public sector. She currently manages the project pipeline for the Data Driven Innovation Programme at the University of Edinburgh.
She is passionate about volunteering, personal development and health and wellbeing. She is a touch rugby fanatic and when she isn’t either playing or refereeing, she can be found walking on beaches and in the hills with friends and their dogs, or out and about in Edinburgh.
Andrea and Ailsa will be joining our existing Board of Evelyn, Andy, Jill, Graeme and Isobel. You can find out more about our Board of Trustees HERE.
